The laser light is absorbed by the ink, which breaks down into microparticles. These particles are naturally eliminated by the body over approximately 6 weeks.
The number of treatments required depends on several factors, such as the type of ink used and how deeply the ink is located in the skin. There should be at least 8 weeks between each treatment.
After the treatment, the top layer of the skin may swell, appear grayish, and thicken. Blood/bruising, blisters, and scabs may also occur. If scabbing occurs, it is important not to pick at the scabs or scratch to prevent scarring.
You must avoid sun exposure on the tattoo for 6 weeks before and after the treatment.
Pregnant/nursing individuals are not treated.
